Komo Machine, Inc. has brought its production facilities back to the United States. Machines are now being manufactured in the company’s Lakewood, N.J. plant.
“It was important [to bring production back] because people like ‘Made in the USA,’ “ says Komo president Michael Kolibas. “It gives us a more hands on report with our customers.”
The move has also helped add a number of jobs to the Lakewood area. “We were happy to put a lot of unemployed people back to work.”
In addition, lead times on machines have been cut down by a minimum of five weeks.
