Which means you just have to do the best you can with what you have. more..

What to Look for in a 3-D Modeling Program

In this article I’ll continue to focus on direct modeling programs.  These programs address the needs of woodworkers who produce custom products.  They offer a completely new method of producing shop drawings.  That is, they allow your draftsman to create a model of your product before you begin to cut wood.  A model created in this manner can be clearly understood by clients, workers, and CAM programs. more..

Can You Teach People to “Get it?”

You’ve been training your people to be good at what they do for you. You’ve taught them what quality level you expect every time they make, communicate, buy or sell something. You’ve made sure that they understand not just where you want to go, but why it is important to you, to the organization, and to them as individuals. Your formal training is complete. Everyone has had a chance to learn. If you step back now, you will see that some of them understand, while many will not show the new behaviors you hoped for. more..

Go Beyond Client Expectations

The tiles in my shower were starting to fall off the wall. After further inspection, it was apparent there was no concrete board behind the tiles – just traditional drywall. Talk about a moisture disaster. In addition, the bathroom didn’t have a ventilation fan to eliminate moisture from hot showers. It was a prime example of what not to do in a shower environment. So, my husband and I enlisted a remodeler to fix the problem. more..
